Drifting is fun.  If you aren’t having fun, you are doing it wrong.  Now stay tuned for the video demonstration.

In honor of Club Loose’s 10^th season of drifting, we are giving away 10 free drift events for 2012.  But here’s the catch, we need to hit 5,000 likes on our Facebook page before this will happen.  The top 10 referrers when we hit 5,000 will win one day each.

So it’s really easy to make this happen.  If you’re already a fan of Club Loose, you just need to share this and get your friends and family and even your weird “Facebook” friends.  After you are a fan, go to the poll and vote for the person that referred you.  If they aren’t already on the list, then write them in.  This is the only way that they will get credit.  If a bunch of your friends shared this with you, then just pick the one you like the best.

Top 10 dudes on the official Poll on our Facebook page will get a free day of drifting.  If there’s a tie or something for the 10th spot, there will be a trivia question or something to keep it limited to 10.

As an added bonus, for every 500 new likes on the page, we will pick 2 people at random to get some Club Loose swag.  We’ve got ECB Posters, a few shirts and maybe even some vinyl left over.  So as the likes grow, we will be picking winners for this stuff too.

October 1st is also the day that Gardella, Bergenholtz and Rado are doing their FWD Drag Race Grudge Match also at Etown. And since Gardella and Bergenholtz are now involved in drifting we thought what better than to have an event and then go over and after we are done go and watch them go really fast on the drag strip.

Gardella will be bringing out some of the drift cars so Tuerck and Eric O’Sullivan can play on the road course with everyone else.

Anyway, here are the details.

Finishing Moves!

Gates open at 9 on Saturday. We have a lot of drivers so we might try and open them a little early. So if you are there early make sure to get in a line so we can get you through quick. Also leave a lane for track people to use so they don’t have to fight through you to get to the gate and be able to let you in.

There is no camping inside the gate on Friday night. So don’t show up and try and sneak in early or give us some sob story about needing to set up or something. There is plenty of time on Saturday for everything.

Due to the amount drivers coming and the space we have, only drift cars are allowed in the pit area unless the car is on a trailer. So if you are not trailering your car, try and fit as much in it as possible. Support vehicles will not be allowed in at the gate, even to just drop thing off because people never bring them back out.

Show up with tires mounted and ready to run. We want to get started as early as possible and don’t want a line at the tire machine before cars even go on track.

For after the event, we are going to party but I don’t want anyone being a dickhead. At ecb someone was throwing bottles and if I found them I would murder them. If you see anyone doing shit like that or something destructive to someone else’s shit, I expect you to stop them. Thankfully we haven’t had any major incidents, but if something did happen it could have a lot of bad implications for club loose and the fun we have at these events. So keep that in mind.

Other than that, bring your friends and let’s have some fun.

First up, JR hooked us up with Monster Energy Drink and they will be throwing down some money to the winner of the Monster Entry Challenge and the winner of the Closest to the Table Game. Each winner will be getting $200 hand delivered by JR courtesy of Monster.

Monster will also be at the track hanging out and offering samples of the latest flavors that they have come up with. So stop by, high 5 JR and grab a drink.

Next we’ve got a Universal Hydraulic E-brake from ASD. This piece from ASD is really nice, uses a Wilwood master cylinder, CNC’d handle, it looks sweet and works sweeter. It will definitely help whoever wins it lock up those rear tires whenever they need them to.

Also, Kenda gave us a pair of tires to give away. If you win, you will get a sweet certificate and you’ll get to pick the size you want. So you’ll have a nice new pair of tires for the next time out to the track.

Finally, FUELEDmag and Import2Race will be covering the event and adding $300 to the prize money for the Hold the Line competition.

So please remember to show your appreciation to these guys for helping us out. It is really great to see them getting involved to help out our drivers.

The 3rd Round of Hold The Line will be held during Freedom Moves on Sunday September 11th.

Price to drive both days of Freedom Moves and compete in HTL is $315.
Price to drive just Sunday and compete in HTL is $212.

I know its a little more money than payouts but we added something really cool for this round of HTL…PAYOUTS! We are paying out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 1st gets 62.5%, 2nd gets 25% and third gets 12.5%. The total payout amount is based on the number of drivers. Each driver adds $25 to the pot. So more drivers means a bigger payout.

For example, with 16 drivers, that’s $400 split between the top 3.
1st gets $250.
2nd gets $100.
3rd gets $50

All A group stuff is required for HTL since it’s a competition. Cages, suits, etc. We’ll probably run on the back course again, since that went well and was fun. There will be a little practice, then quick qualifying, then the competition and then back to fun.

Driving on Saturday and having a lot of fun and partying with everyone Saturday night will only help your qualifying score. We are thinking of doing a hungover factor multiplier.

Freedom Moves is coming quick. Freedom Moves will be on September 10th and 11th at Englishtown on the road course. It will be 2 days of drifting, partying, shanty town living and all other assorted kinds of fun. Saturday night we will be driving under the lights until 10PM and then partying at Sneaky Pete’s, the E-town trackside bar, until 2AM.

In reality, this timeline will be pushed back a little depending on how awesome the party is the night before.

Registration is now open. It will be open until Labor Day, Monday, September 5 at midnight. No late payments without a really good story. If you’re story isn’t that good, we will post it on facebook as a poll and Club Loose’s facebook fans will decide your fate.

I’m sure you guys have noticed that the prices have gone up a couple dollars. This is because the tire machine, that you guys all use for FREE, is getting really beat up. Whether it’s just the shear amount of use or people not knowing what they’re doing or whatever is happening, it has already been repaired once this year. So we are adding a couple extra dollars to each registration to set aside so when it breaks, we can afford to fix it or, for the worst case, we can buy another one. It’s either a couple more dollars each event or $5 per tire to change them at the track, we figured this was a better idea.

So get your cars together, send in your money and get ready to 2 awesome days of drifting, partying and just having a good time. We have a couple things in the works to make things more fun for you. And depending on how quickly people register, we might be able to put some more fun stuff together. So don’t be lazy and wait until the last minute to pay.

Hot Moves and HTL Drift Pro Am
July 16, 2011

July 16th is Club Loose’s first HTL Pro Am competition. It will also be a normal event open to B and C group dudes and any A group dudes who do not want to compete. We will have everything going on at the same time so anyone not competing will still get tons of seat time.

I hope to see a lot of dudes out for this.

Anyway, the details are below.

Gates open at 9AM.
Driver’s meeting at 10AM.
Track goes hot at 10:30AM.
Drifting is done at 6PM.

Open to all groups.
For B/C group and any A group dudes not competing in HTL price is $156 to drive.
For any dudes competing in HTL price is $182 to compete.

Driver’s meeting is MANDATORY. No exceptions. You will not be allowed on track if you aren’t there. It will be at 10AM on the bleachers.

Come with tires mounted. Tire machine will not last all week if people show up with nothing mounted. And you will miss track time which is dumb. Tire machine probably won’t even be set up until mid afternoon, so if you show up with nothing, you’re screwed.

Pack as much shit in your car as you can. Unless your car is on a trailer, no trucks/cars/anything will be allowed in the gates. There’s just no room. So pack it tight before you come up to check in. We will make you pack your car outside the gate. Sorry but with this many people we have no choice.

Club Loose

East Coast Bash – June 25th and 26th.
2 days of drifting and partying in Shanty Town.

Sneaky Pete’s will be open at the track for booze drinks throughout the day and into the night. The lights will be out on the track so we can keep things going after the sun goes down.  We’ve got a couple other things we’re planning that should be pretty sweet.

Shanty town vehicles are encouraged.

I know it’s not really news or an announcement of any kind, but I thought this picture was just too good and needs to be here.  This is from an impromptu post event photo shoot featuring Jeff Turner’s S13, Nathan Ong’s S14 and the Club Loose Moped.  Photo was by Matt Nugent.

B group saw a lot of progression as well.  As the track surface heated up, the entries got better and better. Lines moved quickly getting B group a ton of seat time. This was also due to the overall skill level rising and only a few off tracks that kept the wheels spinning all day.

Throughout the day, A group was staged up and ready to throw down some sick tandem. When they were out on track, they did not disappoint.  Club Loose veterans Nick D’alessio and John Wagner produced some insane entries that wowed the crowd! Ed Tini and Tanner Munson brought the smoke show as usual. Rodrigo Campos made a return to Club Loose and warmed up quickly showing the crowd he still has what it takes.

All in all, the event was a huge success. Drivers and spectators hung out in the pits well into the night, grilling and recapping the day’s events. Club Loose would like to thank Kenda Tires for its support of grassroots drifting and everyone that came out for an awesome day at Englishtown Raceway Park.

Club Loose keeps on rolling in 2011 bringing you another exciting venue to the schedule.  New Jersey Motorsports Park is a state of the art world class facility nestled in the pine barrens of south jersey.  Over the winter Club Loose staff pondered on how to bring Jet Planes, a sweet new track and drifting all together at once.  Well, we made that dream a reality with the addition of an action packed day on NJMP’s Lightning Circuit on May 28th.

Club Loose added drifting to the already popular New Jersey Vintage Grand Prix and Family Festival.  With War Birds, The World Famous Blue Angels and Drifting this event will be one for the record books.  “Being the first group to hold a drift event at NJMP is both an honor and privilege.  Club Loose drivers will deliver the action on the ground with plenty of air support rounding out an insane event.” says Matt Petty

Kenda Tires has made a huge push in the sport of drifting, sponsoring Dennis Mertzanis in Formula D. Club Loose plans to help them further their exposure even more by getting these awesome tires onto as many cars as possible. John Wagner, a longtime Club Loose driver and Drift Alliance Ace, is at the forefront of the Club Loose Expansion. John will be employing the same model for success that has worked so well at Club Loose’s Englishtown Raceway Park events over the past 8 years. This model has built some of the best drivers in the country. John will be working with the drivers and the staff of Beaverun to hold the most dynamic events the area has ever seen to challenge the season veterans. John will also be closely involved with the beginners to nurture talent and promote driver growth.

John says, “I am really looking forward to this season. Beaverun is a great facility and I will bring the same Club Loose spirit that I love at Englishtown to all of these events.”

Beaverun Motorsports Complex is a facility located in Wampum, PA about 45mins outside of Pittsburgh. The grounds feature a 1.6 mile road course, a karting track and a very large skidpad area. The Club Loose Beaver Moves events will be held on the skidpad giving the many local drifters and safe and controlled environment to learn and practice. This will also allow John and the Beaverun staff to offer new and challenging tracks to breed the next best drivers.

Club Loose 2011 Rulebook

It’s a little different format than last year but pretty much the same rules. If you’re car was passing tech without issue last year, it will have no problem passing this year either.

So you guys have 2 months until the first event and I’m sure most of you are busy making your cars sweet for this year. Just make sure to read over the rules and make sure that you’re taking everything into account.

We’ll have lunch.
Car NEEDS to have a working e-brake (you won’t drive if you don’t have one and no refunds for this). Coilovers highly recommended. Make sure the car has a passenger seat as well.

We need 25 dudes to sign up to make this happen. It’s also capped at 25.

This is a great opportunity to work on some of the things you were struggling with this year or try new things or figure out what your car really needs to have done to it during the off season. We’ll have some instructors and we’ll be working on all kinds of stuff.

So Clinic, on a saturday, on the road course, it should be pretty good.

Saturday we will be starting later and going later. Gates will open at noon. And we will be driving until 10pm. The lights and generators and everything is already ordered.

Sunday will start when we wake up. So we’ll shoot for 10am but it will probably be a little later. And it will end at 6pm.

The Bar will be trackside for this event. Booze will start shortly after driving kicks off. It will be a party, so bring all your friends.

Also, if you guys haven’t been to the last events, we’re doing a little contest for Freedom Moves. We have tons of the postcard flyers with the season flyer on it and we’ve been giving them out to all the drivers at Hot Moves and at the last Night Moves.
So here’s the deal.
1. Get the cards if you don’t already have them. I gave a bunch to Nick at Elite and Matt will have a bunch at R/T so you can go to either of those places to get more.
2. Write your name on each of the cards. Make sure it’s legible. If I can’t read it, it won’t count.
3. Give them to friends/family/anyone that you know/random people on the street/hookers/cops/class mates/co-workers/etc.
4. Tell them that when they come to spectate at Freedom Moves, they should give them to the person at the gate collecting the money.
5. After Freedom Moves, whoever has the most cards turned in with their name on them, get their money back for the weekend. So you get Free drifting.

Basically, you give cards to lots of people and they come and hang out and if you have the most people coming, you get to drive for FREE.

We still have a lot more cards. Most of them will probably be at R/T, so when you’re getting your car aligned or tuned or whatever to get ready for the event, make sure to get Matt to give you some if you need more.
