Technical / Place to buy aero?
« on: February 11, 2011, 04:30:39 pm »
Was gonna buy a kit from chaser, but I called them up & all they got is an msports kit for an s14 (bleh).  Plus, he said they aren't getting another shipment in til may...WTF?  Anyway, is there any other fairly reputable places to buy knockoff aero from?  Def lookin to buy soon, so I can have the car ready for April.  Thanks in advance guys.

New Stuff / Shameful

Check out the top story on http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/.

It's a shame this is what the general public thinks of most of us.

Stay off the streets....keep it on the track.

Technical / Hood Hookup?
« on: July 21, 2010, 12:16:45 am »
Where is a good place to buy aftermarket body parts, particularly a hood?  Chaser is local, but with the revolving door of employees & general incompetence when I call has turned me off from them.  I'm always for supporting local vendors, esp CL supporters, so if anybody has any info please let me know.

& I'm looking for a S14 kouki hood....particularly something with a vent for cooling purposes (think dmax w/o the gay rear vent....like the old daimyo hoods taka used to sell b4 he vanished), but I'm not overly picky if it's a good price.  Thanks in advance guys.

Technical / Manifold / BMC Clearance
« on: July 15, 2010, 09:54:58 pm »
Having an issue with the tubular manifold on my engine (made by vibrant performance).  It's REALLY close to the z32 BMC (see pics below).  I've never seen a manifold come this close on any sr...& I have the same basic setup in this car as I had in my last s14 (s14 sr in s14 chassis), difference being the last car had a megan mani & it didnt even come close.  I also had nismo mounts on the other car, this one has avid solid mounts.....don't really think that is the problem since it's more of a lateral fitment issue, rather than vertical.  My idea is to have a custom brake line made for, at least, the front line with a banjo bolt on the bmc, since that would stick out the least.  Just wondering if you guys have any insight or other ideas to alleviate this issue.  Thanks in advance.

$55 for 2 days of drifitng?  Not bad, considering that's only $15 more than night moves.  Does anybody know how this thing is going to be run...or who is going to be running it?  Matt, Tim...you guys have anything to do with it?  Just thought I'd ask

The one thing I would be worried about is the $3000 gymkhana competiton hogging the track....

Well, guys, I'm new around here, so I thought I'd document the buildup (or rebuild) of my new car.  I'm sure most of you recognize this car   .  Well this is pretty much what I have started with....Good straight chassis, S14 SR w/o a turbo or exhaust, sans cooling system, bone stock s13/s14 frankenstein suspension (just so it rolled), no diff, stripped interior.  Now, everything is there I just need to slap all my new parts on it.  I've been told she cleans up well, but she may need a slight facelift   .  Anyways, here's some photos of pretty much how she rolled off the trailer.  I'm gonna update it as soon as I get more recent pics.  Can't wait to get this bitch finished & get back out there thrashing!!!!  It's been waaaaayyyyyy too long.
